Among the 36, 17 cases were filed today, while the rest of them were registered earlier. New FIRs have been registered in Mulund, Ghatkopar, Vikhroli, Bhandup, Pant Nagar, Khar, Santacruz, Powai, MIDC, Saki Naka, Meghwadi, Goregaon, Charkop, Borivali and MHB police stations in the city. The Mumbai Police is investigating the case where the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders and workers allegedly broke the COVID protocols during the Jan Ashirwad Yatra of Union minister Narayan Rane in different parts of the city.
