According to the several tests Zydus has conducted, the vaccine is 66 percent efficient and is suitable for dosage to children above age 12. The Vaccine should be available soon once it has completed the 14 stages of certification and testing. PM Modi also lauded the efforts of Zydus and the scientists working on it. This is the first Plasmid DNA vaccine in the world. The Vaccine is also needle less, so it will help reduce medical waste. Mr. Rajib DasGupta joins us to give his inputs on the achievement.
