Sep 15, 20214:35Now PlayingAs per the latest updates on the ongoing NEET exam and pressure on aspirants, a Vellore student has reportedly taken a drastic step fearing low marks. Similar incidents have been witnessed in the past few days, and now another aspirant has died of suicide in Tamil Nadu. This is 3rd NEET linked death by suicide in the past for days which has raised several concerns over the competitive pressure on students. More than 50 students have taken their own lives in the past 2 to 3 years under similar circumstances right after the exams. The district administration informed that the girl was completely depressed as she exited the examination centre. Yesterday, the state Chief Minister also wrote a letter addressed to NEET aspirants, pleading to the students' community to keep the faith and not take such extreme steps. He also added that the state government has started taking steps to scrap the NEET exam in Tamil Nadu, requesting the parents to give confidence to the students. Watch!
