As per the latest updates on the lookout for a new Punjab Chief Minister, several candidates and contender names have cropped up in the race. While more than two candidates compete, the major inclination is towards Navjot Singh Sidhu and Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa. Sources suggest that since the CLP meeting was cancelled, it is now in the hands of the party heads to decide on the same. This Punjab political tussle has been witnessing some major twists in the past few months with the constant infighting and then the resignation of Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh finally. Insider reports state the party MLAs are demanding that there should be a Sikh leader for the Chief Minister position in Punjab. There is a fair chance that Navjot Singh Sidhu might be considered for the seat he has been eyeing for after all. However, it will cost the Gandhi's ultimate goodbye to captain Amarinder Singh as he'd leave if Sidhu ascends.
