1:39Now PlayingThe Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) stated on Wednesday that all 2,553 private and municipal-run schools in Mumbai will resume for in-person sessions for 5.13 lakh students in classes VIII to XII beginning October 4. On September 24, the Maharashtra government allowed the reopening of schools in the state. The final decision on Mumbai, however, would be made by the BMC. BMC Commissioner Iqbal Chahal stated in a new announcement that the civic body will decide on the rest of the classes in November. The BMC, on the other hand, stated that the government's COVID standards will be implemented to all schools under its jurisdiction.
