The Madras High Court while hearing a petition seeking a ban on illegal banners. flex boards and flagpoles, has directed the state government to come up with prohibitory orders against this activity completely. This comes in after a 12-year-old in the Villupuram district lost his life due to electrocution while he was helping erect a flag to welcome DMK Minister, following which the Madras HC has ordered a firm direction to the state government. Additionally, the DMK's affidavit has also stated that there won't be erect flagpoles anymore.
