Firefighters informed Mirror Now that no fire fighting system was available in the ICU in the Ahmednagar government hospital. An audit was done in early 2021 when it was raised that the hospital was not equipped to fight against fire. This unfortunate incident that took 11 precious lives, could have been avoided if the safety measures would be the concerns of the hospital authority. But, Officials avoided safety measures, and hence the terrible accident happened. 11 people died in a massive fire outbreak at the government hospital in Ahmednagar on Sunday, 7th November.
