TMC MP Sushmita Dev alleges an attack by BJP during the campaign. Also, TMC Youth President Saayoni Ghosh was arrested on charges of attempt to murder in Tripura as police claims that she tried to run over people. Abhishek Banerjee denied rally permission in Agartala because the government is not permitting anyone to hold big campaigns as there is so much chaos and tension in Agartala. After all, this took place TMC MPs protested outside the Union Home Ministry in Delhi to meet with Home Minister Amit Shah. Reportedly 200 people wore helmets, carried hockey sticks, rods to beat people, journalists, and even cops. This level of violence is seen in Tripura ahead of civic body elections.
