There have been reports of multiple cases of sexual harassment in educational institutions of Tamil Nadu. This issue has pushed the Tamil Nadu government to come up with a new set of regulations. In several cases, students were harassed by teachers in schools and colleges. So the state government has now set up a child protection policy that includes the safety of children from violence, abuse, sexual harassment, and exploitation. This policy also makes it easy for children to raise the issue and talk openly about the problem.
