4:47Now PlayingAccording to the latest updates on the Mumbai Barge Tragedy, the panel has cleared ONGC. The panel has blamed private organisation Afcons are accountable for the incident. According to the sources, the final reports has been submitted to the Petroleum Ministry.
“We have not received any intimation on the findings of the High Level Committee established to investigate this matter. We are in regular touch with the authorities and are cooperating with them. We have documentary evidence that was presented to the committee and various investigating authorities, that establishes the fact that Afcons had asked all its barges to leave their respective locations and return to Mumbai anchorage well before time.” as quoted by an AFCONS spokesperson.
The report says that the committee has found out that all the safety measures and protocols were not followed. The committee also said that this disaster could have easily been avoided. In the Mumbai Barge tragedy, 714 people were left stranded in the middle of the ocean during a cyclone. Total 86 people lost their lives in the incident. Watch the entire video to know more.
