The bill seeks an exemption for Tamil Nadu's students from appearing in the national level NEET exam. Tamil Nadu had passed the Anti-NEET bill earlier, but Governor R.N Ravi rejected it. According to him, the Anti-NEET account will disadvantage EWS students. However, the MK Stalin government thinks that NEET creates a disadvantage for rural students. 3-hour long debate in the house before passing, BJP staged a walk-off at the end of the discussion, protesting against the bill.
