Drugs Controller General Of India (DCGI) has permitted restricted emergency use of biological E's covid vaccine. The subject expert committee of DCGI has recommended the Corbevax vaccine for the age group of 12 to 18 for emergency usage. Sources have informed that this is one of those vaccines to which the government of India has given advance payment to produce vaccines for children. The government has given an advance payment for 30 crore vaccine doses that can be given to children between the age group of 12 to 18. Earlier, Bharat biotech's vaccine was permitted for emergency use for children.
