This comes after the country imposed severe economic sanctions on Russia due to its invasion of Ukraine. UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson went so far as to call Putin the 'Russian dictator.' These strict measures seems to have affected Putin and the Russian establishment has retaliated with imposing a ban on all UK-linked planes. Meanwhile, Ukrainians continue to suffer as bombings continued throughout the day. Multiple casualties have been reported, including those of civilians.
