"We have been left alone to defend our state," Volodymyr Zelensky said in a video address to the nation after midnight. Zelensky said that 137 “heroes,” including 10 military officers, had been killed and 316 people wounded. He added, “Like World War Two, you said never again, but here it is again and you're not doing enough to respond."
