3:00Now PlayingAs per the latest news on Mirror Now, the Supreme Court has directed the Maharashtra government to hold local body elections without the Other Backward Class (OBC) reservations. Earlier, Maharashtra State Backward Class Commission had recommended a grant of 27% OBC quota in local body polls. However, the Supreme Court's latest directions say that the OBC quota isn't required. The Maharashtra government should go ahead with the local body polls without it and now the government is in the huddle to discuss further steps. Quite hopeful in implementation of OBC reservation because earlier Supreme Court had told the state government to find rely on the findings of the State Backward Class Commission.
