Voting is underway in 57 assembly seats across ten districts in Uttar Pradesh; 676 candidates are in the fray. Over 36% voter turnout has been recorded till 1 pm. CM Yogi Adityanath will face his maiden assembly election as a contestant from Gorakhpur, known for its Gorakhnath Math that he heads as the chief priest.
