Remember that the High Court already ruled that hijab is not an essential practice for Muslims, so girls should not be allowed to sit in the class with their hijab. The girl, named Niba Naaz, filed the petition in the upper-level court. In her petition, she stated that the hijab is the symbol of her beliefs and that this is her right to modesty. Not allowing hijab in the classroom is also a form of discrimination against Indians.
