8:51Now PlayingIn a bid to decongest airports and streamline passenger experience, the government has said it is going to roll out the facial recognition technology at airports across India by March 2023. Varanasi, Kolkata, Pune, and Vijaywada airports will be among the first where an Artificial Intelligence-based facial recognition system will be implemented. The minister of State for Civil Aviation Gen. VK Singh told the Parliament on Monday that the preliminary testing system has been completed at the airports. He also added that the security requirement is dynamic in nature. The Facial recognition System is part of the Digi Yatra initiative of the Government of India to provide passengers seamless and hassle-free experience at airports. Watch this to know more!
