A fresh flashpoint has emerged between the Central government and Maharashtra government over a Mumbai metro project. The Central government has now written to the Maharashtra government and they have asked to reconsider their decision to move the metro car shed from Array to Kanjurmarg. The Centre has cited technical issues as their reasons for doing so. In fact, the Bombay High Court has cited both the Central and the State government to keep their differences aside and resolve the Mumbai car shed issue outside the court. The Court urged both the governments to ensure development and progress in the public interest and the Court also stressed the fact that the authorities must understand that the issues at hand concern the citizen and public money is being used.
