Earlier, Mumbai Taxi Union has also written to the Maharashtra government to increase the minimum fare from 23 rupees to 30 immediately. After a massive increase of Rs 7 from April 6, the price of CNG is currently Rs 67 per kg. According to the Khatua committee report, if the price of CNG rises by more than 25%, the taxi fee should be revised immediately.
