State Health Secretary Radhakrishnan stated that out of the 18 people that were tested, a total of 10 have tested positive. Students are still being tested for infection and contact tracing in the IIT Chennai Campus is underway. Yesterday, April 20, 2022, 3 students tested positive for COVID-19 and today, 7 more students tested positive. In a press conference, the health secretary stated people have a tendency to avoid wearing masks and not follow COVID appropriate behaviour, which is concerning. "We have written to all collectors to ensure COVID-appropriate behaviour is followed everywhere," he said. Mirror Now's dharannnii reports.
