In America, guns are easily available in the markets to anyone above the eligible age of 21. However, according to Under the Gun Control Act (GCA), shotguns and rifles, and ammunition are also available to individuals who are above 18 years of age. The civilians in America have over 393 million firearms, meaning there are more guns than people.
But this is not the talking point, here the matter of concern is the rising gun violence in America. The United States might say that it is the world's superpower, a heavyweight in world politics, the richest and the most organised country but the reality is that America is struggling to keep its people safe with its gun laws and the struggle has been there for years.
