According to the data of the national family health survey, only five states are considered above the replacement level of the fertility these include Bihar, Meghalaya, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, and Manipur. The report also says that the institutional births have increased to 94% in urban areas and 87% in the rural areas.
