Prior to that Home Minister Amit Shah had batted for Hindi language which was criticized by musician AR Rahman and movie actor Prakash Raj. Tamil Nadu Education Minister K Ponmudy is the latest to jump into the controversy. The Tamil Nadu minister K Ponmudy said that if the Hindi language is important for getting jobs, then why Hindi speakers are selling 'Pani-Puri' in Coimbatore. He also said that what is the need of learning another language when people in the southern state are learning Tamil and English. We discuss the issue today with our panel.
