YouTube Description
as posted by the channelIndia's wholesale inflation has reached a 15.08% in the month of April this year. This is contributed to higher fuel and energy costs in the country. This number has been in double digits since March 2021, for the 13th month in a row. Last month inflation rate in the retail sector surged to an 8-year high, 7.79%. Most of these combined hikes have come after the Russia-Ukraine war, with geopolitical tensions impacting everything.
These rates also indicate that the Reserve Bank of India might hike repo rates again, possibly around June this year. On this, Randeep Surjewala from Congress has attacked the Centre in a tweet. The tweet shared a graph indicating Inflation numbers.
