In this episode of the Urban Debate, Heena Gambhir will be discussing the warning issued by DGCA to all the airlines in the country overselling unserviceable seats. Airlines have been barred from selling unserviceable seats to passengers. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) on Tuesday warned of taking strict action against carriers if they are still found doing so. Former Revenue Secretary M.R. Sivaraman speaks to us on the matter and says that "It is extremely important that the seat should be in good condition and with my personal experience I can say that the airway condition is not good as he talked about Delhi flight that caught fire after which resulted in mid-air panic. And seats are very important for passenger safety".
