2:29Now PlayingThe centre exempted customs duty and agriculture infrastructure development cess on the import of crude soyabean and sunflower oil, to control the inflation. The government has made import of 20 lakh metric tonnes crude soyabean and sunflower oil duty-free for two FYs (2022-23, 2023-24). The government has also put restrictions on sugar exports from June 1 for price stability and to maintain domestic availability. Earlier the government had cut excise duty on petrol and diesel prices. The government is taking these steps to curb the high inflation in th country. Watch the video to know more.
