4:31Now PlayingMaharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, ordered to prove his majority tomorrow, has approached the Supreme Court. Team Thackeray has gone to the Supreme Court with the argument that Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari's order is illegal as 16 rebel MLAs have yet to respond on their possible disqualification. The Governor ordered the test of strength a day after BJP leaders met him and told him the Uddhav Thackeray-led coalition has lost its majority.
Mr. Shinde claims he has the backing of around 50 MLAs, nearly 40 from the Shiv Sena and they would "take Balasaheb Thackeray's legacy forward".
Fadnavis told reporters, “We have submitted a letter, through e-mail and physically, to the Governor. We have mentioned the current political situation in Maharashtra and told him that 39 MLAs of Shiv Sena are out. They no longer wish to be with Congress and NCP in the government. The floor Test is likely to be held at 11 am tomorrow. Watch the video to find out more!
