9:22Now PlayingOn Friday, The Former Finance Minister P Chidambaram briefed the media about the Goods and Services Tax which was implemented 5 years ago. Chidambaram said that the GST had serious birth effects, that have become worse in the last 5 years. This so-called GST that is enforced was not the GST as per the conception of the UPA Government. "People don't even know Why the Government has been charging the crushing taxes on them." He added.
He also talked about the 6 different rates of the GST. According to his clarifications on behalf of Congress, this GST is not the ideal GST they had envisaged and it had caused several injuries to the Economy.
