6:20Now PlayingAt least 13 people have died and 48 others have been injured in the Amarnath cloudburst that struck the area near the holy shrine on Friday evening. The rescue operations are currently underway in the area. Most of the pilgrims who were stranded near holy cave have been shifted to Panjtarni. The Directorate of Health Services, Kashmir has cancelled all leaves of the staff (regular/contractual) and directed them to report to duties immediately. Also, all the officers have been directed to keep their mobiles switched on. So far, 10 army units are involved in the rescue operations and advanced light helicopters are on standby. The CRPF has also been asked to assist other forces in rescue operations.
