1. Former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe was Shot Dead today in the Nara City of Japan. He was addressing a political rally when a man fired upon him from the back. He was, later on, rushed to the hospital and died during treatment.
2. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has condoled the death of Shinzo Abe and has also declared national mourning in the country tomorrow.
3. A cloudburst hit near the base camp of the holy cave shrine of Amarnath in south Kashmir Himalayas, resulting in the loss of several lives.
4. At least 13 people have lost their lives in the Cloudburst near holy cave of Amarnath. Rescue operations are currently underway.
5. ShinzoAbe's assassination has stunned the world. Global leaders have expressed their thoughts and condolences following Abe's death.
6. ED has issued a show-cause notice to Amnesty India International Pvt. Ltd and its ex-CEO Aakar Patel for violations of provisions of FEMA and imposed a penalty to the tune of Rs. 51.72 crore and Rs 10 crore respectively.
7. A day after Boris Johnson resigned as the UK Prime Minister, former Finance Minister Rishi Sunak announced his bid to succeed him as the leader of the Conservative party and the country's PM.
