5:54Now PlayingA cloudburst that hit the region close to the revered Amarnath shrine on Friday left at least 16 people dead and more than 40 missings. All injured patients are currently receiving care at the Upper Holy Cave, Lower Holy Cave, Panjtarni, and other nearby facilities, which make up the three base hospitals. The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and the Indo-Tibetan Border Police are conducting rescue efforts as the Amarnath yatra is still on hold (ITBP). Injured people and dead remains are being airlifted from Neelgrah Helipad/Baltal to BSF Camp Srinagar for additional medical attention or to be transported to their homes by the SF MI 17 helicopter.
