Following directives from the Ministry of Home Affairs, CBI opened a new investigation into the suspected NSE co-location scam on Friday, which entails the snooping on NSE employees' phones. According to a top CBI official, nationwide searches are currently taking place. Former NSE Chief Chitra Ramakrishna, Ravi Narain, and former Mumbai Commissioner Sanjay Pandey were named in the new FIR for allegedly tapping the phones of NSE personnel and engaging in other irregularities. A CBI official stated that although Pandey was supposed to be unreachable, he showed up for the CBI's questioning.
