Navsari and Surat are currently the most damaged districts due to floods. Almost 18 thousand people are affected due to the floods. Food packets have been provided to them, and the state is taking precautions. Ahmedabad and Mumbai highways have been partially shut down due to the heavy rains. The Purna river has been overflowing above the danger level while the state has asked the nearby villagers to evacuate in case of the waterlogging increases any further. Apart from Gujarat, several districts in Telangana are facing heavy rains and are under red alert. In Maharashtra, Palghar and Nashik have been marked under red alert while Mumbai is under orange alert..
