Amid regular malfunction and technical glitches DGCA has restricted Spicejet to operate 50% of approved flights for next eight weeks. DGCA during this period is set to monitor the passenger safety and other aspects of the airlines. "This is going to be a massive inflection point for SpiceJet," says Senior Editor, Times Network, G Madhavdas. "Aviation is not like selling soaps. A major boost to the airlines' financials has to be given. The demand for aviation will grow like anything in India," says Dr Sanat Kaul, Former Civil Aviation Joint Secretary, GOI. "DGCA India Head & Spicejet CMD said 30 incidents happen everyday which are very minor but safety experts see that if there is a combination of these failures," says Amit Singh Founder Safety Matters Foundation.
