According to the Arpita's remand copy some of the properties were bought in cash. ED also claimed that Partha Chaterjee is the nominee in 31 LIC policies which Arpita Mukherjee holds. The remand copy which was presented yesterday in the court.
Partha Chatterjee's lawyer claimed that no money was found on him and therefore, his offense is bailable. However ED lawyer claimed that as the property is jointly owned by Partha Chatterjee and Arpita Mukherjee
hence he should not be granted bail.
