She will also meet the newly elected President of India, Droupadi Murmu. According to reports, Mamata Banerjee may discuss the West Bengal’s GST dues in the meeting. The state claims that at present, it owes around Rs 97,000 crore to the Centre for various projects. Besides, the state is at loggerheads with the Centre over the naming of various projects. Because of this, the work of Bangla Awas Yojana and Road Scheme has been virtually stopped.
