The Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (MMRCL) today informed the Supreme Court that no tree felling has been done in the Aarey forest for the Aarey car shed. They have informed that the grass grown only in some areas has been removed and in some places; the branches have been trimmed. Previously, demand had been moved in the Supreme Court to stop the ongoing construction of the Aarey car shed. Seven different petitions have been filed by environmentalists. It was being claimed by the administrative officials that the pruning of trees was going on to bring metro coaches.
