As the Hindus were denied the minority status the supreme court will be taking up the matter for hearing in the first week of September.
On July 18, the Supreme Court urged the petitioner to provide a real example of a situation in which Hindus, although having a tiny number in a certain state, were denied the legitimate status of minority.
