7:49Now PlayingDespite concerns raised by India and U.S., Chinese spy ship docks at Sri Lanka's port at Hambantota Deep Sea Port. However, China claims it's their 'research ship'. India has raised major concerns about this that this ship might spy over India. This ship will be docked till the 22nd of August.
The ship was originally supposed to arrive on 11th August but it was delayed due to the absence of permission from Sri Lanka's side. Maroof Raza, a Strategic Affairs Expert says that China has no attachment to the country where its money is invested. With the current situation of Sri Lanka, it has to take financial help from China, and hence, it has no option but to go soft with China's decisions such as the recent incident. The expert also mentioned that China's ship is mapping out the waters for future operations. In addition, it is also spying on the countries which do not interest China.
