Joseph Vijay, Tamil film actor, for not disclosing the Rs.15 Crore income for 2014-2015 financial year. The court directs the income tax department to file its counter by the 16th of September. Earlier, the tax department conducted a raid in 2020 and imposed a penalty of Rs. 1.5 Crores. This is a partial relief for the Tamil actor. The income tax department had imposed a penalty in a delayed manner, for which the actor had to squash the fine. Now the IT officials are asked to file a counter by next month.
