Durga Pooja, also known as Shardiya Navratri, is a nine-day festival in India dedicated to nine manifestations of the goddess Durga. Devotees across the country decorate massive pandals for Durga Pooja and illuminate them with lights, diyas, and candles. Over 4.5 lakh LED lights were used to decorate a Navaratri pandal in an environmentally friendly initiative. According to Shiv Shakti Mandal associate Pramod, they have decorated their Puja Mandal in Mumbai with 'eco-friendly' lights that are 'easy to dismantle without causing any harm to the environment.'
