The apex court heard the plea filed by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to amend its constitution. The BCCI also seeks to increase the tenure of current president Sourav Ganguly and Secretary Jay Shah. The cricket body had requested the court for an immediate hearing over the matter that had been pending for over two years. The BCCI is seeking the court's permission to amend certain sections of its constitution which deal with the tenure of office bearers.
