YouTube Description
as posted by the channelThe Supreme Court instructed the CBI on Wednesday to provide a progress report on the probe into corporate lobbyist Niira Radia's intercepted talks. A three-judge panel was considering a petition brought by entrepreneur Ratan Tata to defend his right to privacy in light of the release of the Radia tapes. "We'll have it after the holidays since there's a Constitution Bench next week. In the meanwhile, the CBI may submit an updated progress report" indicated the bench, which also included Justices. The case has been scheduled for the next hearing on October 12. Aishwarya Bhati, standing for the Centre, argued that the petition should be dismissed in view of the Supreme Court's decision on the right to privacy.
