Supreme Court has sought more information on the Popular Front Of India's link to Hijab protests after Karnataka government alleged PFI played a role in the massive protest against the hijab ban in educational institutions of the state. The Supreme Court has also asked the Bhasavraj Bomai-led government to submit a portion of chargesheet. The top court asked the state government, "What is the basis for PFI link?"As per sources, the Karnataka government will submit the chargesheet by evening.Yesterday, the Karnataka government told the Supreme Court that its order that kicked up a row over hijab was "religion neutral" and launched a strong defence of the state.
