Earlier, Governor Purohit had cancelled the AAP government's plan for a special assembly session where the AAP was to bring a confidence motion. After the cancellation, chief minister Bhagwant Mann was furious, and AAP workers came to protest against the governor.
The AAP government had meant to seek a trust vote in the session and prove its majority amid the BJP's alleged attempts at conducting an "Operation Lotus". However, the Governor asks AAP not to bring a confidence motion in the assembly now.
