as posted by the channelIndian army has inducted its 1st indigenous multi-role attack helicopter -THE LCH. HAL has formally handed over the first Light combat helicopter to DG, Army Aviation Corps. This is a multi-role attack chopper, can land & take off at an altitude of 5000m. They will enhance the combat capability of the Army in conflict scenarios. The formal ceremony of LCH will be organised on October 3. Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will also mark his presence. The HAL-designed chopper has other stealth features too. It has armor protection, night attack capability & crash-worthy landing gears. 10 LCH are for Indian Air Force while 5 are for the Army. IAF is set to formally induct 10 LCH in Jodhpur before Air Force Day on October 8.
