To commemorate the festival of lights, jawans stationed at the border were seen performing Lakshmi pooja and bursting firecrackers. Colonel Iqbal Singh wished India a Happy Diwali, saying, "I want to wish the countrymen a very happy Diwali and assure them that our soldiers are alert and keeping a vigil on the border."Diwali is celebrated with great pomp and show all over the country. People celebrate the festival of lights by performing puja and following rituals.
