1:36Now PlayingFollowing the consumption of tainted water in Hotapeth hamlet in Yadgir district, a woman passed away and 39 other people were hospitalized, according to people in the know about the development on Wednesday. Eramma Hiremath of Hotapeth village in Shahapur taluk of Yadgir district in Karnataka has been named as the deceased. According to one of those mentioned above, the woman passed away on Tuesday at the district hospital from acute diaorrhea, becoming the first victim of the third episode of water poisoning in north Karnataka. Since Saturday, there have been reports of hospitalization cases in the neighborhood. A district administration official who wished to remain unnamed stated that in addition to those who were hospitalized, several others were also impacted by the water poisoning, but their conditions were not serious.
