Earlier, the ED had filed a chargesheet under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) in connection with illegal mining and extortion in Jharkhand and Bihar before a special Ranchi court against Pankaj Mishra, who is close to Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren.
The ED suspects that CM's close aide, Pankaj Mishra, owns illegal mines in Jharkhand. ED also filed a chargesheet on Pankaj Mishra. Now, in the same case, ED summons Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren.
